Celtic Prayer
My Christ rise in glory
Scattering the darkness before your path.
The Sun of suns,
The eye of the great God.
The eye of the King of Hosts,
Is rising upon us,
Gently and generously.
Welcome, glorious Son,
Dawn of a new day.
Glory to you, Son of the Most High,
Human face of God,
Labouring with us, spending your life for us,
Cross-bound to set us free.

God, I come before you as
empty as a paper cup
waiting to be filled with
the wine of your presence.
Somewhere back along the way
I dropped all these things.
I was going to offer you
The doing, the giving, the praying
I know you will be with me
When I pick them up later.
But right now,
It's just you and me, God
And there's not much of me.
It's a good feeling
To be this empty, this open
To your presence.
Not knowing how to name you
Or the life that you pour into me.
Thank you. Your son gave me this knowledge,
and this knowledge guides my life.

Help us as parents
to understand our children's needs
their strengths and their weaknesses,
We know we don't have all the answers,
but we will look to You for guidance.
GOD OF POWER
You are with us at all times and in all places.
In times of darkness, encircle us with light.
In times of despair, encircle us with hope.
In times of sorrow, encircle us with compassion.
In times of anxiety, encircle us with calm.
In times of doubt, encircle us with faith.
In times of sadness, encircle us with joy.
You are with us at all times and in all places,
Amen
BLESSING
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
Let peace settle in you, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
